Delta-8 Cannabinoid FAQ

For the average cannabis consumer, THC, CBD and CBN are commonly known cannabinoids. But, what about others like…the Delta-8 cannabinoid?

What is Delta-8?

Delta-8 or Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol is a minor cannabinoid in cannabis that has gained popularity for its different chemical structure. The high you receive from Delta-8 is a less psychoactive experience than the one you receive from its brother, Delta-9 (a.k.a. The psychotropic cannabis we all know and love), and can offer calming effects. It’s found in small quantities in most cannabis strains and can be easily isolated and concentrated to create Delta-8 specific products.

How is the Delta-8 Cannabinoid Produced?

Delta-8 is produced when Delta-9 breaks down over time, or through a process of oxidation. It can also be extracted from cannabis using various methods, like distillation or isolation.

How to Use Delta-8?

Delta-8 can be consumed through smoking, vaping, edibles or tinctures. Smoking and vaping Delta-8 are the most common methods, but edibles and tinctures can be more discrete and convenient (of course).

What are Delta-8 Cannabinoid Benefits?

PLEASE NOTE: Delta-8 effects are different for everyone.

Delta-8 has grown in popularity due to its potential ability to reduce inflammation in the body. Studies have shown that Delta-8 can have anti-inflammatory properties that can be helpful for people who experience pain, arthritis or other inflammatory conditions.

It can also be a solution for anxiety and depression. It’s believed to work by Delta-8 interacting with the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system, which are involved in regulating overall mood.
